چکیده
Spikelet number per spike (SNS) is the primary factor that determines wheat yield. Common breeding reduces genetic diversity among elite germplasm resources, leading to a detrimental effect on future production. It is, therefore, necessary explore new resources for SNS increase A tetraploid landrace “Ailanmai” × wild emmer recombinant inbred line (RIL) population was used construct map using 55K single- nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) array. The linkage containing 1,150 bin markers with total distance of 2,411.8 cm obtained. Based phenotypic data from eight environments and best linear unbiased prediction (BLUP) values, five quantitative trait loci (QTLs) were identified, explaining 6.71–29.40% variation. Two them, QSns.sau-AM-2B.2 QSns.sau-AM-3B.2 , detected as major novel QTL. Their effects further validated in two additional F 2 populations tightly linked kompetitive allele-specific PCR (KASP) markers. Potential candidate genes within physical intervals corresponding QTLs predicted participate inflorescence development spikelet formation. Genetic associations between other agronomic traits also analyzed. This study demonstrates feasibility SNP array developed common mapping shows potential application wheat-related species improvement programs.

SNP-based association analysis for seedling traits in durum wheat (Triticum turgidum L. durum (Desf.))
In the present study, 150 accessions of worldwide originated durum wheat germplasm (Triticum turgidum spp. durum) were observed for major seedling traits and their growth. The accessions were evaluated for major seedling traits under controlled conditions of hydroponics at the 13th, 20th, 27th and 34th day-after germination. Biomass traits were measured at the 34th day-after germination. Correl...
متن کاملLinkage Disequilibrium and Genome-Wide Association Mapping in Tetraploid Wheat (Triticum turgidum L.)
Association mapping is a powerful tool for the identification of quantitative trait loci through the exploitation of the differential decay of linkage disequilibrium (LD) between marker loci and genes of interest in natural and domesticated populations. Using a sample of 230 tetraploid wheat lines (Triticum turgidum ssp), which included naked and hulled accessions, we analysed the pattern of LD...
متن کاملSolar Radiation-Associated Adaptive SNP Genetic Differentiation in Wild Emmer Wheat, Triticum dicoccoides
Whole-genome scans with large number of genetic markers provide the opportunity to investigate local adaptation in natural populations and identify candidate genes under positive selection. In the present study, adaptation genetic differentiation associated with solar radiation was investigated using 695 polymorphic SNP markers in wild emmer wheat originated in a micro-site at Yehudiyya, Israel...
متن کاملClassifying Ethiopian Tetraploid Wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) Landraces by Combined Analysis of Molecular & Phenotypic Data
Article Information The aim of the study was to investigate the extent of the genetic diversity among gene bank accessions of Ethiopian tetraploid wheat (Triticum turgidum L.) landraces using microsatellite markers, qualitative and quantitative data. Thirty five accessions of Ethiopian tetraploid wheat (T. turgidum L.) landraces were grown in the greenhouse at IFA Tulln, Austria during spring 2...
متن کاملLinkage Relationships in Wild Emmer Wheat, TRITICUM DICOCCOIDES.
The linkage relationships in wild emmer wheat, Triticum dicoccoides , between nine enzymatic loci (Mdh-1, Ipo, beta-Glu, Pept-1, Pept-3, Est-5, Est-1, 6Pgdh-2 and Hk) and a coleoptile pigment locus (Rc) were investigated. Chromosome locations of genes were inferred from analysis of ditelocentric lines of Triticum aestivum, cultivar Chinese Spring. The loci Mdh-B1 and Hk are linked (lambda = 0.1...
